* 1963 in Pančevo/Serbia as Saša Rakezić, known under the pseu­do­nym Aleksandrar Zograf. He has made use of comics as a flex­i­ble and inex­pen­sive medi­um since the 1980s. It was main­ly  the American pub­lish­er Fantagraphics Books that boost­ed him to inter­na­tion­al recog­ni­tion in the ear­ly 1990s. Since 2003, he has reg­u­lar­ly drawn comics for the inde­pen­dent Belgrade week­ly Vreme. His sto­ries are trav­el-ori­ent­ed and often deal with for­got­ten books or old news­pa­pers. He has shown his work in Paris, Rome, San Francisco and many oth­er cities; his work has been pub­lished world­wide. He cur­rent­ly lives and works as a jour­nal­ist and comics author in Pančevo.
