Born in Ljubljana in 1971. He works as a com­put­er engi­neer and is also a stu­dent at the Art Academy in Ljubljana. He pub­lished his first com­ic in 1995 and has since then cre­at­ed more than 10 inde­pen­dent com­ic books. They range from short, sin­gle-page comics to lengthy sagas, which span sev­er­al years. Bertoncelj uses a vari­ety of approach­es and has pro­duced comics in dif­fer­ent gen­res, most notably graph­ic novel­las and adap­ta­tions of literature.
