Mátyás Lanczinger


* 1981 in Pécel / Hungary. Studied visu­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion and ani­ma­tion at the University for Decorative Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest. Comic book and ani­ma­tion artist, graph­ic design­er. In col­lab­o­ra­tion with Zoltán Fritz he devel­oped com­ic speech, a kind of impro­vised com­mu­ni­ca­tion in which an artist quick­ly reacts to his partner’s words. His comics have gar­nered numer­ous awards includ­ing the Alfabéta Prize for the best adap­ta­tion into comics. He drew Rémkoppintó in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Serbian com­ic book artist Aleksander Zograf.
