Comics Concert by and with Itay Dvori.
Finally! The comic concert, postponed several times, will take place. More than 18 months of waiting have been worth it: composer and pianist Itay Dvori will make the comics sound in the historic Puttensaal of the library at Luisenbad, Berlin Wedding.
His varied compositions and improvisations turn the comics into colorful sound paintings that play around the plot and heighten the tension. The music is precisely synchronised to the projected comic panels and captivates the audience.
In addition to the sound settings of Edmond Baudoin’s “Le Voyage,” Shaun Tan’s “The Arrival,” and other pieces from his repertoire, Itay Dvori will present new pieces of music that he composed specifically to comics from southeastern Europe that evening. Then, for the first time, Precious Present, an animation by Romanian comic artist Ileana Surducan, will be seen and heard. More info at www.itaydvori.com
Access to the comic concert is only possible upon presentation of proof of vaccination or recovery together with a valid ID. Interested persons who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons should indicate this at the registration. Wearing of a medical mouth-nose covering is mandatory.
Limited number of participants. Registration required via firstname.lastname@example.org

Hallertau – Seasonal Work in Times of Covid-19
Artist talk about making a comic diary
Lockdown in spring 2020: Every evening science journalist Alexandra Hamann keeps diary about her seasonal work spontaneously started on hop farms in Bavarian Hallertau. She sends texts and photos to comic artist Julia Kluge, who transforms the episodes into colourful panels from a distance (https://mintwissen.com/hopfen). The artist talk will give an insight into the making of and backgrounds of the comic diary and this particular way of artistic cooperation.
In good weather the artist talk will take place in the museum’s garden.
Admission from 6pm, the comic can be read in the exhibition.
Please register at email@example.com (limited attendance)
