The Hungarian Comics Academy was found­ed in Budapest in 2004. Fritz Zoltán has direct­ed the Academy since 2012. Its goal is to pro­mote comics cul­ture in Hungary and raise the stan­dard of qual­i­ty. To this end, the Academy organ­is­es exhi­bi­tions nation­wide. To date, it reg­u­lar­ly pub­lish­es the mag­a­zine Pinkhell, which reflects the spec­trum of Hungarian comics. New forms of this pub­li­ca­tion are cur­rent­ly being developed.
